Greetings From Vietnam!

We landed in Hanoi today at 10:00 in the morning. The first flight from LAX to Hong Kong was LONG. Old plane and crowded. I thought I would get a lot of sleep because I hadn't slept well for a few nights before we left. I had an aisle seat and it was pretty darn uncomfortable. The next flight went quickly though and Ray and I both felt great when we landed in Hanoi. Our friend Paul picked us up and we headed to the Melia with all of our luggage. The lobby of the Melia is beautiful and smells amazing with all of the flowers! It wasn't that hot today but the air conditioning in the hotel still felt great when we walked through the doors. We called our kids to let them know we made it, took showers and then headed out for some sight seeing. We had pizza (really good) and then walked around for an hour or so. After that we each got in a cyclo and drove around for a long time. At first I videotaped it so I could remember the craziness of all of the traffic and the various shops and people. After a little while I just sat back and enjoyed myself. There are so many things to look at that when you are looking at one interesting thing on one side of the street you are missing something on the other side. We went and and had a cool coconut drink and walked around some more. The last thing we did was go and have dinner and guess who I saw? I'llgive you a hint. Anyone who read these blogs as much as I do will guess the answer. I saw a blue, three wheeled stroller. Hmmm...who posted that they had bought one while they were here? Charisa, right? But I knew she had already left. Then I wondered if she had given it to the group of people who came after her. I looked around and saw a group of people with two adorable Vietnamese babies. I went over and introduced myself and yes, they were World Child families. Now, I suddenly cannot remember all of their names. I think it may be because we haven't slept in a really long time. Lisa was one of the women and the other family has a little girl they named Mia. It was great seeing them there. Their babies are SOOO cute and didn't make a sound through dinner. Wow, seeing them with their babies made this all seem more real. I have to get to bed. We are leaving for Halong Bay at 8:30 am and we have to be packed up since we will be checking out for the night. I will post a couple of pictures tomorrow before we leave.
